Privacy Policy

1. The short version

Other bidders see only a masked version of your name — for example “U***r Q.” — along with your bid amount and the time you placed it.

Your mobile number is never shown publicly. Neither is your delivery address, your full name, or your email. Those are visible only to us, and to the courier when we send you a parcel.

2. What we collect

• Your name — you give this when you first verify your number.
• Your mobile number — used to verify you and to contact you if you win.
• Your bids — the amount and the exact server time of each one.
• Delivery details — only if you win: recipient name, address, city, province and a contact number.
• Technical information — your IP address and browser details when you place a bid, which we use to detect fraud.

We do not collect payment card details or bank information, because BidNoon is Cash on Delivery only.

3. Why we use it

• To confirm you are a real person with a working mobile number;
• To run the auction and show the live bid board;
• To contact the winner and arrange delivery;
• To detect and prevent fake bids and repeated delivery refusals;
• To keep records we may need for tax or legal purposes.

4. Who else sees your information

We share the minimum necessary with:

• Our courier partner — the recipient name, address and contact number, so they can deliver your parcel.
• Our SMS provider — your mobile number, so the verification code can reach you.
• Our hosting and database providers — who store the data on our behalf under their own security obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose information if we are legally required to do so.

5. How long we keep it

Bid and order records are kept while they may be needed for accounting, tax or dispute purposes. Delivery addresses are kept for as long as needed to complete and support the order.

If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal details. Where we are legally required to retain a transaction record, we keep only what the law requires.

6. Security

Your data is stored in a database with access controls that prevent one user from reading another user's personal details. The public bid board is built so that it can only ever return masked names — mobile numbers are not present in the data the website sends to your browser at all.

No system is perfect. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.

7. Your choices

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you;
• Correct anything that is wrong;
• Delete your account and personal details;
• Stop contacting you, except where a message relates to an order you have placed.

Deleting your account does not cancel an order you have already won. If you have won an item and it is on its way to you, that order still stands.

8. Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in after you verify your number, so you do not have to re-enter your details for every bid. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children

BidNoon is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will remove the account.

10. Changes and contact
